I would like a way to backup sections of my diary at a time before the file gets too large and takes too much time to backup. It would be nice to pick specific dates to backup as an option and not backup the whole file all the time.
Thanks
Backup Options
Can I get a response to this? Thanks
I currently don't plan to implement this.
You can export your journal to a Word file. That allows you to specify date ranges
Hunta If you are using cloud sync, then you already have an incremental backup. It wont matter what the overall size of the diary is, as only the changes are synced.
Does that help?

@RobertSpencer can you elaborate what incremental backup means?
I would like to backup every week/month so that i won't loose my data when things go badduring syncing.
If if backup everytime, where does it store and do we have revision history of those backup files let's say iCloud as an example.

Hi, I do believe that a 'backup history' is important in an app with sync options - just an integrated way of viewing and restoring changes made to documents. Stuff is bound to go nuts and bolts there from experiences. I've lost work because I accidentally deleted what I wrote and the cloud synced it automatically, started work on a device when it was open on another - things can corrupt or just get overwritten.
The 'version' feature of Zoho Notebook is an excellent way of handling it. It creates up to 16 backups (Free version) for you to restore your works to - and asks you whether you want to update to a more recent version if you happen to switch to a different device, or whether you want to pick from past versions if it isn't sure what to pick.
From what I've tried right now, Diarium snoozes when you leave it to go on standby mode on iOS and move to the desktop version, but if you go edit the same entry and go back to the timeline, the post gets overwritten by the iOS version of the entry. I can sure adapt to the Diarium way, but Zoho sure has it comfy.
I can put more research into this to figure out just how Zoho handles its versions for clarification.
