I am no longer able to embed Photos From Google Photos

Hi, big fan here. I have been using Diarium for a bit more than a year and I bought premium almost Immediately
when my trial ended. When I first used the app I was able to embed Pictures from Google Photos from the "Select Photo" Button on the Entry. This feature was perfect for me because my photos get deleted as soon as they get uploaded into the cloud. However, since I upgraded my phone to Android 13 I haven't been able to embed google photos pictures the way I used to because of the new privacy photo-sharing features.

I have been trying to disable these privacy options in every way possible but nothing seems to work out, I figured out that It might be a bug, so I wanted to share it there. It's important to note that I am a custom ROM user but I have been with android 13 for over 2 months and any other Messaging/Mail/Social app hasn't had this problem.

Note: I can still use Google Photos to upload photos from the "Add File" Button but it's not quite the same since my photo's location doesn't get saved when I upload the images.

Starting with Android 13, Google recommends to developers to use their new "photo picker" (see here), which Diarium does - therefore the "Google photos" app is no longer showing in the "app photos" button and I recommend to use the "Add files" button. So it's not a bug but an expected change with Android 13

would you consider bring back the embed photo option as some of us may not wish to have the actual digital foto in the apps (mobile & pc) to save their storage space, please?
