Having to wait for a sync every time I upload an image

Hi, every time I go to upload an image, I am greeted by this message:

Then the image doesn't upload until I select it a second time. And it happens for every image I want to upload. It's been doing that systematically for a week or so, maybe following an update, I'm not sure.

Diarium version: 2.9.53
OS + version: Android 10

A short screen capture video would help me a lot here because I am unable to reproduce this myself.
