We've been thinking that the daily entries compiled would make a nice keepsake of our big trip.
I think you providing a printed version might be a lot of work though. Maybe it would be possible to have a bit more control over export page configuration instead?
Thinking something along the idea of a couple or more example templates with layout boxes where a title could go, where text could go, where photos could go and how photos are presented ie page width, or grid 4 per row, page break control etc, could make it simpler for anyone to print something quite nice and everyone could choose their own quality of paper, style, color etc etc. There are many places that will print and bind pages you've already built, I've done it many times with rare documents. However I've had to format each page accordingly. Since we're exporting from here anyway, it could save a step.
We will be making a book one way or another though. Scribus is a good open source option for layout.
