Settings: Show days without entries in timeline - disabled.
View: timeline and Calendar expanded in the timeline view
With the above setting if I scroll the day pointer in the calender moves inline the the day shown in the view.
But when I scroll all the way down it goes to the month 1st day instead of staying in the today date.
