Hello @timo - I understand the bit about having to purchase license for different platforms. Suppose I purchase licenses for android & iOS. How des the seamless sync between the two diarium_accounts happen?.. i.e. suppose I write a note on my iOS diarium account, would it be available on on my android diarium accounts to read/edit immediately? What do I need to do to have this seamless sync across android & iOS accounts?

Ray Yes, the sync works between iOS & Android. You can test the sync in the free trial version 7 days after you installed the app. It's explained in the Sync FAQs how the sync works. The sync doesn't happen instantly, but either manually or when you open/close the app.

Hii I am planning to buy pro version for my windows ( From Microsoft Store) and I am using diarium free version on my Android phone, So I wanted to asked that if I note any entries on my windows app which is pro version will it be sync on my Android free version? Like will I be able to read or make changes from both the platforms, I understand that free version has attachment limits but will I be atleast able to read the entries on my Android free version which I wrote in windows pro version?

The Cloud Sync is a feature of the Pro version so you cannot use it in the free version without buying the Pro version.

I try to buy the pro version for my chromebook but it asks for a password, that I dont have. Also while validating my debitcard it throws me back to the options page. is there an easier way to buy the proversion?.
I am now trying to buy it for over 1 hour and I decided to quit for the moment.

Where exactly is the password prompt?
Diarium doesn't directly ask for a password, so this likely must be the password that ChromeOS asks for your Google account that you are logged in with to your Chromebook.
I cannot help with the checkout, I have no insights in the process and Google accounts, it is all handled by Google. I would recommend contacting Google Support.

If I paid for the Windows version from Microsoft App store on a PC but have a Windows laptop which does not have Microsoft App store installed, is it possible to use the standalone Windows version on the laptop? How would I go about using the same Windows license?
I understand that the Android version is tied to the Google account used to pay for it. In the event that I need to switch to another Google account, is there any way to retain the registration or will I need to re-purchase using the new Google account?

If you bought the app on the Microsoft Store, you would need to download it again from the Microsoft Store (with the same account) in order to not having to buy the app again.

The license cannot be transferred to another Google account. It is bound to the Google account you bought it with.

Hi - I purchased this app in April. It has been working fine with syncing to my cloud account. Suddenly today I get a message that cloud syncing needs a pro version. Nothing has changed on my phone.

Hello Timo,
I've been thinking about getting a journalling app. one feature I would love to have (and yours does) is the ability to use it on different devices.
I really like that you have a one time payment (per platform) and I hope you won't change that.
but what if I did buy the pro version, and you did decide to make the app subscription based, what would happen then?

This is a great app for journaling.
I have tried many different diary & journaling apps & this is by far the easiest to use & most intuitive of them all.
That fact that it isn't subscription based makes it even more attractive & worth the cost.
Being able to sync it across all platforms makes it incredibly useful.

hi I am from India and want to start journaling, thought of buying diariump pro for windows first, it took me to the microsoft store, there its some 550 bucks and asking for my card details. As i have never bought anything from there i am little concerned about putting in my details.
My query here is 550 is the lifetime purchase i am doing right and i am entitled to all the updates in future ?

Well that sucks. I've been using the Pro version on my Android device for a long time now, and I just realized there was a Windows version but I can't use it unless I pay for it again? And you don't want to develop a license system because it will take time? Most developers WANT to increase their product's value for their customers and a licensing flaw preventing multi-platform support would be one of the FIRST things they'd straighten out because nobody is going to pay multiple times for the same application, especially people like me who don't even have an income but bought the product anyway because I liked it so much and wanted to support the dev. I don't know if I would have if I'd known you don't even care that your customers are having this issue!!

but taking the time to solve this glaring problem seems like a worthy use of time to improve the app in my opinion.
To me, seeing 83 posts complaining about this would light a fire under my ass to fix this issue ASAP!!

Alphamay Thanks for your comments and sorry you aren't happy with the Pro version. If I implemented a licensing system, would you be willing to pay a 50-100 USD one-time fee (or alternatively, a monthly subscription)? Because this is the only way such a license system could be supported. Users would have to pay more and I would have less time to work on new features. Where's the benefit? From the feedback I receive via mails and reviews I think that most users prefer paying per platform once instead of paying a monthly subscription forever. And it makes sense - it is just much, much cheaper.
Sure, I could also just give away the Pro version for free, but would I be able to continue to work on this app? No.
