  • Diariam wants to share data about me?

Diarium version: 2.9.34
OS + version: iOS 16.1.2

When I opened my app on my iPhone today, I got a popup message about sharing. I accidentally dismissed the message before I could read it in its entirity, but it went something like this:

"This App (Diarium) wants to share data and information about you with Microsoft.com"
I remember two options below the message box; "cancel" or "OK"

This message has never appeared before ever, I always keep everything updated and open the Diarium app daily on both my iPhone and Windows PC (which didn't give any message about sharing my information)

Any Ideas?

I think what you saw is the iOS prompt that shows every time before a login dialog is presented, e.g. for logging into OneDrive sync. This prompt basically just informs you that Diarium potentially has access to your cookies on Microsoft.com - which is helpful in the way that it makes logging in to your account faster and you won't have to type your email + password manually. Diarium does absolutely not share any data about you and that's also not shown in that prompt.

Are you sure about that? Please check the settings and see if you are still connected to the sync (or Microsoft ToDo integration) and if not, try to log in again - it will show the prompt again.

Thank you timo. You always explain things so well, even when the information provided by the person asking for help is often times not very clear. 🙂

It was off on my iPhone but on in Windows. I guess that's what the prompt was, again, thank you.
