JeanieStevens I had to redownload app and signed in and all of my entries are gone. Is there any way I can get them back they're very important to me. Diarium version: OS + version:
timo Sorry for the problems. Where exactly did you sign in? There is no Diarium account. If you mean the Cloud Sync, then make sure you actually signed in to the correct Cloud account that you used on your previous phone to sync.
JeanieStevens timo every time I try to download it it keeps telling me that it's not a database. I have no clue of what that means but I have used the same account for it for 2 years now and every entry is going and those are important to me. I have never had a problem before until now.
HemantDubal I lost all my entries, i just started using this app for couple of months... Has not logged in or had pro version... can i get the data somehow? Eagerly waiting for an affirmative response 🥺
timo Please explain in more detail what exactly happened. The app does not delete or clear data on its own. It is strongly advised to use the Cloud Sync and the app also shows a prompt after a few weeks if you haven't enabled it yet.
HemantDubal Thanx for ur prompt response Timo, really appreciate it. Btw problem solved, luckily i was able to recover back up file from other phone. And yeah it wasn't ur or Diarium's issue, I had to factory reset phone and thus lost my entries... Thx though
timo JeanieStevens Sorry for any trouble this app may have caused you. Would it be possible to explain everything in a bit more details so I can be of more help? How exactly do you "download it" and what what do you refer to with "it"? What "account" are you referring to? There is no such thing as a "Diarium account". Sync & backup/import are two different things and they are explained in the FAQs. Maybe you are mixing up the two things. Also, what app version are you using and on what device are you using the app (e.g. Android)? Make sure you have updated to the latest version v2.9.37 before enabling the Google Drive sync on a new device as this version contains an important bug fix.
ChloIredale Hey I have also lost all entries. The app was no longer on my computer (no idea where it could have disappeared to) and I re-downloaded it and none of my previous entries are there...
ChloIredale For some reason when I use the search bar I can see previous entries, but I can't scroll up and access them...
timo Diarium doesn't (in fact cannot) uninstall itself. If the app is removed, the local data is removed as well. That's why Diarium strongly recommends to use the Cloud Sync to prevent data loss. That recommendation prompt is shown every 30 days if Cloud Sync is not enabled
